Job Objective:
Sales Manager’s main objective is to fulfill customer expectations, achieve sales targets, maximize sales’ team potential, craft and successfully execute a strategic sales plan, justify the plan to management, practice an innovative and competitive attitude.

Job Duties:
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy to ensure revenue growth targets are attained.
  • Initiate and coordinate action plans to penetrate new market segments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Recruit, assess and hire Sales Representatives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
  • Continuously train, lead and mentor sales team to achieve maximum performance.
  • Evaluate sales team individually to build positive relations and to gain knowledge of areas for improvement, in order to achieve high productivity.
  • Co-ordinate supplier visits for Trade.
  • Ensure merchandising standards are met.
  • Assist sales team with proposals, presentations and promotional activities.
  • Inform sales team immediately of any changes in sales plan, strategies, goals etc.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes - ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Limit expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Submit reports: Weekly Individual Activity Report, Monthly Sales Target Progress Report.
  • Maintain accurate records for efficient reports to management
Relationships and Roles:
Internal / External Cooperation
  • Ensure the Sales Team meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Set examples for Sales Representatives in areas of personal character, work habit, commitment, organizational and selling skills.
  • Conduct regular coaching and counseling with Sales Representatives to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Job Specifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales team.

Travel Required: 75% on the Road
