Job Description:
Job Title: Cost Accountant
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct cost analysis, margin analysis, and monitor project costing.
- Develop and maintain cost-effective data systems to support management decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory and cost controls in coordination with plant operations.
- Prepare and monitor asset, liability, and capital account entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Contribute to monthly closing activities and preparation of Management Accounts.
- Drive process improvements aligned with best practices and internal controls.
- Support cross-functional teams by delivering timely and accurate financial insights.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g., ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role; manufacturing/distribution background is an asset.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting, and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of financial laws, codes, and statistical tools.
