Description
Title: Accounts Clerk
Reports to: Accounts Manager
Location: Trincity Industrial Estate
Job Profile:
The Accounts Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounts Clerk must comply with established policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Prepares batches of invoices for data entry.
- Accurately enters data and invoices for payment.
- Accurately records all cheques in a timely manner.
- Prepares manual cheques as and when required.
- Maintains updated vendor files and file numbers.
- Performs general data entry
- Exercises confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.
- Balance all Sales; Cash, Debit, Credit transactions.
- Follow established procedures for processing daily sales reports
- Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
- Processing Monthly & Weekly Payroll
- Keeping employee information filed and updated
- prepare journal entries
- complete general ledger operations
- reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
- prepare analysis of accounts as requested
- assist with year-end closings
- administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
- assist with payroll administration
- monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
- account/bank reconciliations and bank balances
- review and process expense reports
- assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
- assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- preparation of outgoing wire transfers
- preparation of VAT, NIS, BIR and other statutory payments
- monitoring and ordering of stationery
- Any other duties, as assigned.
