Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Accounting Technician
- Review of accounting documentation such as financial reports, cheque disbursements, bank reconciliations, expenditure requests and reimbursement requests
- Management of computerised financial accounting system
- Preparation and payment of all expenditure
- Preparation and payment of salaries and allowances
- Preparation of budget documents
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requiring minimal supervision while maintaining high level of accountability
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours, inclusive of weekends, if necessary
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualification and Experience:
- ACCA Level II or equivalent or over ten (10) years’ experience in an accounting environment
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Accounting or Payroll Clerk
- Possession of a valid Trinidad and Tobago Driver’s Permit would be an asset
