11/15/2026We are looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator and Installer to manufacture, assemble and install aluminium sliding windows, casement windows, sliding doors, storefronts, and associated glass works. The ideal candidate can work from measurement to fabrication to final installation with minimal supervision, and takes pride in clean, watertight, and square finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fabrication (Workshop):
- Read and interpret measurements, sketches, and technical drawings
- Cut aluminium profiles to exact measurements using cut-off saw and mitre saw
- Assemble aluminium frames for sliding windows, casement windows, sliding doors, shop fronts, louvers
- Install rollers, locks, handles, hinges, weather strips, rubber gaskets and silicones
- Cut and fit glass, including handling of tempered and laminated glass safely
- Quality check - ensure frames are square, smooth, and operate properly before dispatch
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and maintain tools and machines
2. Installation (Site):
- Perform accurate site measurements for windows and doors
- Transport and handle finished products safely to job sites
- Install aluminium windows and doors, ensuring they are level, plumb, square and properly anchored
- Apply silicone sealing, waterproofing, and finishing for a neat, leak-proof installation
- Install glass panels on site where required
- Communicate with clients and site supervisors professionally
- Troubleshoot and do repairs / adjustments on existing installations
3. General Duties:
- Estimate material requirements and report shortages
- Follow all safety procedures for cutting tools, glass handling, and working at heights
- Keep daily record of jobs completed
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years proven experience as an aluminium fabricator/installer. Must be able to fabricate a sliding window and sliding door from scratch.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of aluminium profile systems - 2" / 3" sliding, casement, 1" x 1", storefront, etc.
- Skills: Excellent measuring, cutting, and assembly skills. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, drilling machine, glass cutter.
- Mathematics: Good with fractions, measurements in inches and mm.
- Must Have: Valid driver's license is a strong asset.
- Reliable, punctual, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift heavy glass and aluminium frames (up to 50 lbs)
- Able to stand for long periods, bend, and work on ladders/scaffolding
- Comfortable working in workshop and on construction sites
