About the Role
The Associate II - Payroll is responsible for assisting with the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation and processing of payrolls for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will perform payroll processing, prepare reports, maintain payroll records, support statutory compliance activities, and ensure the confidentiality of employee and client information.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll data, including employee changes, earnings, deductions and other payroll transactions.
- Reviewing payroll information to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Preparing payroll reports and supporting payroll reconciliations.
- Processing payroll adjustments with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Preparing and verifying ACH upload files and payroll reports.
- Preparing and distributing payslips while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Assisting with month-end and quarter-end payroll activities, including statutory reporting.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring payroll documentation is properly archived.
- Maintain accurate records of time spent on assigned client and internal tasks using the Company's time recording system, ensuring entries are completed in accordance with internal requirements.
- Providing administrative and operational support to the Payroll Services team.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Experience in payroll, accounting, finance, administration, or a similar office environment would be an asset but is not essential.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Previous experience using payroll software will be considered an advantage but is not required, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Entry-level candidates with a strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes and Trinidad and Tobago statutory deductions would be an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet established deadlines.
