Role Summary
The Branch Supervisor oversees daily branch operations and leads the patient service team to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer experience. This role manages administrative staff, while supporting business targets and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Oversee daily store operations, including inventory, equipment, and staff performance.

• Prepare weekly staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and timely store operations.

• Monitor patient bookings and traffic to ensure smooth service delivery and support business growth.

• Ensure store security, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.

• Address maintenance and equipment issues promptly.

• Work closely with the Optician to resolve patient concerns or complaints.

• Organize and document monthly staff meetings.

• Attend management and team leader meetings as required.

• Maintain accurate records and reports for audit and compliance purposes.

Human Resources

• Coach, motivate, and support staff to deliver excellent patient service.

• Identify training needs and recommend development plans to Retail Management.

• Conduct bi-annual performance appraisals within established timelines.

• Handle disciplinary matters promptly, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company and labor policies.

• Review and submit staff time sheets and leave requests according to company deadlines.

Accounting & Performance

• Verify daily cash handling, deposits, and safe procedures with the Accounts Clerk.

• Ensure all products leaving the store are properly invoiced, including no-charge items.

• Ensure staff and dependent purchases are billed through Head Office.

• Support the achievement of monthly branch targets in collaboration with Retail Management.

• Assist with quarterly inventory counts.

General Duties

• Provide professional, courteous assistance to patients and staff.

• Prepare reports as requested by Retail Management.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Retail Operations Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years’ retail supervisory experience

• Optical experience is an asset but not required

• Availability to work Saturdays

• Reside in Port of Spain or surrounding areas

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
