General Accountability:

The Business Lead – IT Project supports the planning, coordination and execution of technology projects across the organization. 

 

Nature and Scope
The role assists the General Manager/ICT Committee with IT project documentation, stakeholder coordination, tracking progress and ensuring IT-related project activities are delivered on time and within scope. The Business Lead – IT Project supports the planning, coordination and execution of technology projects across the organisation.

 

Specific Accountabilities:

1. Assisting with planning and scheduling project tasks, milestones and deliverables.

2. Maintaining IT-related project documentation, reports, risk logs and issue registers.

3. Tracking IT project progress and preparing status updates, as required.

4. Supporting coordination between technical teams, vendors and business units.

5. Assisting with organising meetings, workshops and review sessions.

6. Supporting requirements and documentation gathering.

7. Assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and rollout activities.

8. Helping monitor IT project change requests and configuration updates.

9. Providing general support during implementations or deployments.

10. Assisting with budget tracking and resource allocation logs.

11. Maintaining IT project dashboards and tracking tools.

12. Documenting meeting actions and follow-up activities.

13. Supporting communication of IT project updates and training materials.

14. Performs any other related duties as assigned by Management.

 

Person Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field.

• Two (2) years’ experience in IT project coordination or business analysis.

Specific Skills/Experience and/or Knowledge:

• Knowledge of network administration, IT infrastructure, computer operating systems and data management.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies/principles.

• Experience using Microsoft office tools.

• Strong organisation and time-management skills.

• Good analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
