JOB OVERVIEW
The Janitorial Auditor is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and ensuring the quality and consistency of janitorial services across assigned facilities. This role conducts scheduled and unscheduled inspections, verifies compliance with cleaning standards, identifies deficiencies, and works with custodial teams to drive continuous improvement. The Auditor plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment while upholding contractual service levels and organizational expectations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct routine, random, and post‑service inspections of all janitorial areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, grounds, and specialized spaces.
• Use standardized checklists and scoring tools to evaluate cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to service standards.
• Document findings with photos, notes, and corrective action recommendations.
• Verify that cleaning frequencies and tasks align with contractual obligations and internal SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor proper use of chemicals, equipment, PPE, and cleaning methods.
• Verify that staff follow environmental, waste‑handling, and infection‑control protocols.
• Report any safety hazards or non‑compliance issues immediately.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting performance trends, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Track KPIs such as audit scores, response times, recurring issues, and service‑level compliance.
• Present findings to management and participate in review meetings.
• Recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide coaching and guidance to janitorial staff based on audit findings.
• Support onboarding of new custodians by demonstrating proper cleaning techniques and standards.
• Assist in developing training materials, SOPs, and quality‑control tools.
• Serve as a point of contact for client feedback related to janitorial quality.
• Respond professionally to concerns, investigate issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain strong communication with supervisors, technicians, and facility stakeholders.
• Verify that equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and ensure proper usage.
• Support special projects, deep‑cleaning initiatives, and periodic service audits. To be aware of the correct usage and concentration of the various chemicals cleaning agents and the correct application of these products to ensure effective results in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines.
• To carry out any reasonable task requested by the Cleaning Manager.
• To act as ambassador for Europa on site dealing in a professional/businesslike manner with all requests from clients
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in Auditing janitorial services, facility maintenance, or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, chemicals, equipment, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to conduct inspections objectively and provide constructive feedback.
• Proficiency in report writing and use of digital inspection tools
