Purpose: 
Lead the overall commercial brand strategy and performance across the Premium Beverages Division to drive profitable growth, market share, and brand equity. Accountable for brand P&L, portfolio prioritization, route-to-market excellence, and commercialization of innovations and campaigns across channels. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Leads the strategy for the Premium Beverages Division.  

• Functions as a member of the Senior Leadership team of Acado (Barbados) Limited with responsibility for the Premium Beverages Division.  

• Leads and manages the Premium Beverages team.  

Performance Parameters: 

Strategy & Portfolio Leadership 

Develop, own and execute 3–5 year brand portfolio strategy aligned to company goals and market realities. 

• Define brand positioning, value propositions, and growth drivers (penetration, frequency, premiumization, trade-up/down). 

• Own portfolio architecture (core, premium, value, innovation), SKU rationalization, and lifecycle management. 

• Active participation in crafting a long-term Strategic Plan for the company, in collaboration with the management team – at least every three years. 

• Ensure the team is aware of and committed to the strategic goals of the company/department. 

• The mission and vision statement of Acado are known by the team. 

Qualifications/Experience: 

• A post-graduate degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management from a recognised university. 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field. 

• 10 years progressive experience in marketing management/commercial leadership, including P&L ownership. 

• Proven success in portfolio strategy, pricing, and trade/channel execution. 

• Strong track record managing cross-functional teams, and major customer relationships.

• Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Market modeling, pricing, elasticity, ROI, scenario planning. 

• Commercial Acumen: P&L management, trade spend optimization, JBP development, negotiation skills. 

• Brand & Communication Excellence: Positioning, creative evaluation, media mix modeling. 

• Customer & Channel Orientation: Category management, store-level activation, e-commerce. 

• Leadership & Influence: Coach, challenge, inspire; strong stakeholder management. 

• Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and computer analytics software 

• Financial Literacy: Forecasting, margin analysis, A&P efficiency, budgeting.
