About the Role

Kaizen Environmental Services (Trinidad) Limited is seeking a seasoned Electromechanical Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across our Trinidad operations. This role is responsible for the oversight, reliability, and optimization of electromechanical systems supporting industrial and environmental facilities.

This position is not intended for junior engineers or technicians. We are seeking a mature professional with strong engineering judgement, hands-on experience, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision in regulated and safety-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight of electromechanical systems and equipment
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex electrical and mechanical faults
  • Support capital works, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities

Operations & Maintenance

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
  • Ensure asset reliability, availability, and safety across facilities
  • Diagnose recurring failures and implement permanent engineering solutions

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, engineering standards, and HSE policies
  • Review and approve drawings, technical specifications, and method statements
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions as required

Team & Contractor Oversight

  • Guide and mentor technicians and junior engineers
  • Supervise contractors and ensure work quality and safety compliance

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8–12 years progressive industrial engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with motors, drives, control panels, pumps, compressors, and industrial systems
  • Experience in oil & gas, industrial plants, utilities, manufacturing, or environmental services preferred
  • Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance planning, and commissioning activities
