Role Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the strategic direction, growth, and performance of a leading financial services group. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the GCEO will have overall responsibility for strategy execution, financial performance, business development, risk management, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and overall direction to achieve the organization's vision, growth, and long-term success.
Develop and execute strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.
Lead financial performance, business development, risk management, governance, and operational excellence.
Partner with the Board to implement strategic priorities and deliver business results.
Build and inspire a high-performing leadership team and culture of accountability, innovation, and integrity.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and corporate governance.
Lead the Group's financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, financial governance, and performance management.
Evaluate and advance strategic investments, acquisitions, and divestments for Board consideration.
Lead enterprise risk management, governance, and business continuity initiatives.
Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Build and lead a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce.
Partner with the Board to develop and execute the Group’s strategic agenda, providing timely insights, business plans, budgets, and recommendations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, governments, clients, employees, and the wider community.
Qualifications & Experience required:
✅Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline or a recognized professional designation (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CIMA)
✅A minimum of 12 years of successful senior executive experience in the banking or financial services sector.
✅Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership, business growth, and organizational performance within complex environments.
OR
✅First degree with at least 16 years of senior executive experience in banking or financial services, demonstrating a strong record of strategic and business leadership.
✅Proven success leading complex organizations, driving results, and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
✅Exceptional leadership, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
✅Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence, commercial acumen, and the ability to deliver results through collaboration and innovation.
