Job Summary: 


The position of HRIS and Data Analytics Lead is a key role within the HR Department structure, responsible for managing the organisation's Human Resource Information Systems and delivering people analytics that inform decision-making. The role spans a range of functions, including HRIS administration and configuration, data management and governance, reporting and dashboards, HR process automation, and systems integration, as well as related company-based activities/functions. The incumbent is required to design, plan and implement innovative reporting solutions, data quality controls, system enhancements and analytics for our people data across multiple locations. The Lead is expected to work across all SMJ sites but will be primarily based at our head office in Otaheite.


Key Responsibilities: 


1.    HRIS Administration: Manage and maintain the HRIS across the employee lifecycle, ensuring system accuracy, security, availability, and effective user support.
2.    System Configuration & Improvement: Configure workflows, manage user access, test and implement system enhancements, and support the standardisation and rollout of HRIS modules across countries.
3.    HR Analytics & Reporting: Develop workforce metrics, dashboards, and management reports; analyse HR trends and provide data-driven insights to support business and HR decision-making.
4.    Data Governance: Maintain high standards of data integrity, privacy, compliance, audit controls, and reporting accuracy across HR systems.
5.    Process Automation: Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline HR processes, improving operational efficiency and the employee experience.
6.    Reporting Tools & Training: Support the implementation of reporting and analytics tools, develop self-service reporting solutions, and provide HRIS and analytics training to stakeholders.
7.    HR Systems & Records: Maintain accurate employee talent profiles, training and performance management information, and prepare periodic management reports.
8.    HR Helpdesk & Service Delivery: Respond to HR service requests within established service standards and provide timely support to employees and internal stakeholders.
9.    HR Communications & SOPs: Prepare HR announcements, memoranda, policies, procedures and other internal communications, and develop SOPs and related training materials.
10.    General HR Support: Support employee relations, reward and recognition, engagement, learning and development, performance and talent management, benefits administration, HR projects, corporate events and other HR initiatives.
11.    Compliance & Safety: Adhere to company policies, procedures and HSE requirements while supporting a safe and compliant working environment.


Qualifications and Experience:


1.    BSc. in Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
2.    5-7 years HR and/or HRIS experience, with previous experience in HR systems administration and data analytics, as well as in the implementation and use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
3.    Microsoft Office Proficient (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), with advanced Excel and reporting tools.
4.    Experience with HRP5 or any related HRIS platform.
5.    Basic knowledge of labour legislation and data protection principles
6.    Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI)
7.    Certification in HRIS, data analytics or database management (an asset).

1.    Strong proficiency in HRIS administration, configuration and support, including systems integration, process automation and system enhancements.
2.    Advanced data analytics, reporting and business intelligence capabilities, including Excel, Power BI, dashboards and data visualisation.
3.    Sound knowledge of data governance, data quality, information security and confidentiality requirements.
4.    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable working with integrated HR and reporting technologies.
5.    Strong analytical, critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate workforce data into meaningful business insights.
6.    Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
7.    Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
8.    Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to independently resolve issues and escalate appropriately.
