02/20/2026ABC Home Center is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support core accounting operations while independently conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits within an increasingly automated finance environment.
This role combines hands-on financial processing with strong audit and control awareness to ensure accurate financial records, reliable system outputs, and compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities

Payroll processing, cash handling, and system reconciliations

Accounts receivable and accounts payable management
-
Bank reconciliations, cheque payments, and banking support

Preparation of financial schedules and reporting support
-
Independent execution of financial, operational, and compliance audits

Statutory payment support (NIB, PAYE, Health Surcharge, VAT)

Participation in finance-related special projects
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
-
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Peachtree)

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
-
Payroll and statutory compliance experience in Trinidad & Tobago
Additional Asset: ACCA or related certification.
