Being part of the Team you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive the best possible service each time they visit our store. You will assist in maximising store profitability by exceeding your sales targets and utilising the in-store devices, while contributing to a successful store team.

 

Main Responsibilities: Customer Service  

         Greet all customers in a warm, genuine and friendly manner upon cashing

         Ensure that customers receive the best possible service every time that they enter the store.  

         Great written and verbal communication skills

         Computer data entry skills – Excel

         Critical thinking and analytical skills

         Up selling skills

         Organizational skills

         Computer literacy

         Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines

         Knowledge of sales standards and customer service routines

         Must have proficient Math and Accounting skills to handle cash, cards, and direct deposit payments

         Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, data programs and PowerPoint

         Work well with others and be a team player

         Knowledge of Point of Sale systems would be an asset

 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

· Minimum 5 CXC Passes – Including Maths & English

· Police Certificate of Character 

· Experience in Cashing

Two (2) letters of recommendation

 

CASHIER JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier will process invoices, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers, products, promotions, or item location. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace. To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service. 

Cashier Responsibilities: 

· Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations. 

· Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics. 

· Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales. 

· Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer. 

· Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints. 

· Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport. 

· Following store procedures. 

· Maintaining a clean workspace.
