Furness Chemicals Limited is seeking a high-caliber, results-oriented professional to oversee daily operations at our manufacturing plant. This pivotal role ensures production targets are met efficiently while upholding rigorous safety and quality standards through the effective management of personnel and technical resources.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Oversight: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily manufacturing activities and personnel to meet established throughput goals.

• Quality Management & Accountability: Provide administrative and operational oversight of the Quality Control department. Review and sign off on Batch Records and Quality Reports prepared by the Chemist/QC Officer to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement lean methodologies to optimize workflows and reduce waste.

• Technical Liaison: Facilitate seamless communication between the laboratory and the production floor to resolve technical bottlenecks or quality deviations immediately.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of plant employees, including the Chemist/QC Officer, to foster a productive and compliant work environment.

• Resource Control: Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods while coordinating equipment usage to minimize downtime.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Experience: 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment (Chemical or FMCG background preferred).

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations, or a related field. Professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma are an asset.

• Supervisory Ability: Proven ability to manage technical staff and bridge the gap between scientific testing and industrial production.

• Leadership: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and board-level reporting.
