Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused, energetic, and dependable Point of Sale Associate to join our retail team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service while accurately processing sales transactions, maintaining inventory, supporting merchandising activities, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and fully stocked. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome and assist customers in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products to maximize sales opportunities.
• Provide accurate product information, pricing, promotions, and availability.
• Process customer enquiries, returns, exchanges, and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
• Build positive customer relationships by delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets.

Point of Sale Operations

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
• Process cash, debit, credit card, and other approved payment methods.
• Prepare customer quotations and process sales orders.
• Balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Report cash discrepancies and transaction issues promptly.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Receive and verify incoming stock against delivery documents.
• Replenish shelves and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock or fast-moving items.
• Assist with stock counts, inventory audits, and stock organization.
• Ensure products are accurately priced and displayed.

Visual Merchandising

• Maintain attractive product displays and promotional areas.
• Replace pricing labels and promotional signage as required.
• Support product launches, sales promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure merchandise is presented neatly and in accordance with company standards.

Store Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail environment.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Attend training sessions, team meetings, and product knowledge workshops.
• Support other operational duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in retail sales, customer service, cashiering, or inventory management.
• Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems; ERP system experience is an asset.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent numerical skills with the ability to accurately process cash transactions.
• Previous experience preparing quotations or sales orders is an asset.
