Job Vacancy: Project Manager

Location: Trinidad and Tobago

Reports To: Managing Director / Operations Manager / Regional Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects across various sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with company standards, local regulations, and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions and define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and work programmes.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, including project updates, risk assessments, financial summaries, and performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, company policies, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving issues promptly.
  • Identify project risks and implement practical solutions to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational challenges.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and apply lessons learned to improve future project performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification would be an asset, but is not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a project management role.
  • Experience working in Trinidad and Tobago or the wider Caribbean region would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and HSE standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, or other project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with frequent site visits.
  • May require travel within Trinidad and Tobago and to regional project sites for the duration of assigned projects.
  • Flexible working hours may be required depending on project demands and deadlines.
