We are seeking a dynamic, persuasive, results-driven Sales & Marketing Lead / Business Development Specialist to help drive the next phase of growth for our company.

This is a high-impact role for someone who is not only experienced in sales and marketing, but who also has the confidence, drive, and communication skills to open new doors, build strong business relationships, lead a marketing team, and help expand our reach across Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean.

The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business for Ultimate Eyewear Ltd, while also helping to introduce and grow two exciting and new digital eyewear platforms.

We are looking for someone with strong sales instincts, excellent persuasion skills, leadership ability, and a proven track record of meeting targets and creating business opportunities.

This is not a passive marketing role. This is a hands-on growth role for a true sales professional who can lead, influence, execute, and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales & Marketing Lead / Business Development Specialist will be responsible for:

Sales & Business Development

• Developing and executing strategies to generate new business for Ultimate Eyewear Ltd. 

• Actively identifying, approaching, and securing new business opportunities in Trinidad & Tobago. 

• Building relationships with companies, organizations, schools, credit unions and other potential partners. 

• Creating opportunities for business-to-business partnerships and corporate eyewear arrangements. . 

• Helping to expand two new and exciting digital eyewear platforms into the wider Caribbean by identifying and approaching potential optical partners, retailers, distributors, and business contacts. 

• Supporting the development of regional sales opportunities that can generate foreign exchange revenue for the company. 

• Following up aggressively on leads, proposals, partnership discussions, and sales opportunities. 

• Meeting agreed sales, business development, and marketing performance targets. 

 

Marketing Leadership

• Supervising and guiding the marketing team to ensure campaigns are aligned with company goals. 

• Helping to plan and execute marketing campaigns for Ultimate Eyewear Ltd and its two digital eyewear platforms. 

• Ensuring marketing efforts are practical, measurable, and connected to revenue generation. 

• Coordinating with internal teams to support promotions, digital campaigns, corporate outreach, and customer acquisition initiatives. 

• Reviewing campaign performance and helping the team adjust strategies based on results. 

• Ensuring brand messaging is clear, consistent, and suitable for each business channel. 

• Helping to create sales-driven content, campaign ideas, offers, scripts, and outreach messages. 

Leadership & Team Coordination

• Providing leadership, structure, and accountability to the sales and marketing function. 

• Monitoring progress on marketing initiatives and ensuring timely execution. 

• Working closely with management to align sales and marketing priorities. 

• Supporting branch-level sales initiatives and helping teams understand current promotions and campaigns. 

• Coaching team members where necessary to improve outreach, communication, follow-up, and conversion. 

• Helping to create a culture of accountability, urgency, and results within the department. 

Strategic Growth Projects

• Assisting with the launch and market positioning of two exciting new digital eyewear platforms. 

• Helping to develop B2B opportunities for both platforms, including local optical supply and regional Caribbean partnerships. 

• Contributing ideas and strategies to help Ultimate Eyewear Ltd strengthen its market position and create new revenue streams.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience in sales, business development, marketing, or a related role. 

• A strong track record of achieving sales targets or generating new business. 

• Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills. 

• Confidence in approaching businesses, decision-makers, and new markets. 

• Strong leadership and supervisory ability. 

• The ability to motivate and guide a marketing or sales support team. 

• A proactive, self-driven, results-oriented personality. 

• Strong follow-up discipline and the ability to move opportunities from discussion to execution. 

• Good understanding of digital marketing, social media campaigns, and online customer acquisition. 

• Ability to work with management to turn business ideas into practical action plans. 

• Strong organizational and reporting skills. 

• Professional appearance and conduct. 

• Ability to represent the company confidently in meetings and business discussions.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following would be an asset:

• Optical, healthcare, retail, insurance, banking, corporate sales, telecommunications, or service-based sales. 

• B2B sales or corporate account development. 

• Regional or Caribbean business development. 

• Managing or supervising a sales/marketing team. 

• Digital marketing, social media advertising, lead generation, or e-commerce. 

• Partnership development or distributor relationships.

Education

• Minimum of 5 CXC/CSEC passes, including English Language and Mathematics. 

• Tertiary education in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or a related field would be an asset.

• More emphasis will be placed on proven experience and a strong track record of new business development and sales.


The role may involve travel to branches, corporate clients, partner locations, and business meetings as required.
