Job Summary

The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for creating and maintaining attractive, organized, and effective product displays within the company's retail and distribution environment. The successful candidate will ensure that hardware and construction products are presented in a visually appealing manner that attracts customers, supports sales, and reflects the company's brand standards.

The ideal candidate should have a good eye for detail, creativity, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of customer buying behavior and product presentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and maintain attractive product displays throughout the showroom and retail areas.
• Arrange hardware and construction products in a clear, organized, and visually appealing manner.
• Ensure promotional displays, signage, pricing, and product information are accurate and clearly visible.
• Develop creative merchandising concepts to attract customers and support sales objectives.
• Regularly review displays and make adjustments based on product availability, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and customer demand.
• Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, labelled, and presented according to company standards.
• Work closely with the Sales Team and Management to promote featured products and maximize sales opportunities.
• Monitor competitor displays and current merchandising trends and make recommendations where appropriate.
• Assist with setting up promotional events, seasonal displays, and new product launches.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance throughout designated merchandising areas.
• Ensure merchandise is handled carefully and safely when arranging or relocating products.
• Monitor inventory levels of displayed products and communicate replenishment requirements to the relevant team.
• Perform other duties related to visual merchandising and store presentation as required.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in Visual Merchandising, Retail Merchandising, Retail Sales, or a related position would be an asset.
• Experience within the hardware, construction, distribution, or retail industry would be an advantage.
• Strong sense of creativity, design, colour, and product presentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic computer literacy would be an asset.
• Ability to lift, move, and arrange merchandise as required.
