Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager with knowledge in Industrial Relations (IR) to oversee all aspects of HR management at our hardware store. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations, along with the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support our business objectives while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and comply with labor laws and regulations.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge across the organization.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, complaints, and disputes, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all local employment laws and regulations, including wages.
- Prepare and maintain HR-related documentation, such as employee handbooks, job descriptions, and personnel files.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and industry trends, and recommend adjustments to HR policies and practices as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in HR management is preferred.
- 6 years of experience in HR management roles, preferably in the retail sector.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on Industrial Relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on fairness and equity.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software applications.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values and respects all employees.
