Job Summary

The Issa Nicholas Group of companies is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounting Assistant– Group. The Accounting Assistant supports the group finance department by performing a range of day-to-day clerical and accounting tasks, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable processes, performing general accounting duties such as reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with payroll and audit preparations. The role also involves liaising with group companies, vendors, and customers to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, verifying documents, and managing payments.

• Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts to resolve discrepancies.

• Data Entry: Coding and posting transactions to the General Ledger in accounting software.

• Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and VAT returns.

• Record Maintenance: Organizing and filing digital and physical financial documents.

• General Support: Assisting with annual audits, payroll and administrative tasks

• Customer Service: Liaise with group companies, vendors, customers for query resolution and other support functions

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completed ACCA Level I or equivalent.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of Accounting software packages, like QuickBooks or Sage

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word

• Sound Knowledge of internal controls and business processes
