About the role   

We are seeking a highly motivated Estimator for MEP to join our team.  This role involves leveraging technical expertise and knowledge to prepare estimates and close incoming sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. You will be a key part of our sales team, working to drive revenue and build strong customer relationships. 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Analyzing Requests: Reviewing RFQs (Request for Quotations) to understand customer specifications.

Technical Reviews/Application of Technical Knowledge and Skills:  Review of drawings and other technical documentation, selecting pump sizing, preparing plant and other equipment sizing.

Supplier Liaison: Communicating with various vendors for pricing.

Cost Analysis: Calculating material, labour, and overhead costs ensuring profitability.

Proposal Generation: Preparing and submitting proposals to customers and answering any queries.

Execution:  Assist with the execution of works associated with approved quotations.

Qualifications    

• Technical Diploma or equivalent Education

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar Estimating position

• Strong technical background and understanding of our type of industry and technologies.

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret drawings is mandatory
