Job Description
As Risk & Assurance Analyst, you will join the company in an entry-level, two-year development role designed to build a broad understanding of risk, assurance, and the wider business. In your first year, you’ll work within the Risk & Assurance discipline, supporting day-to-day assurance and risk management activities while building core analytical, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
In the second year, you’ll broaden your exposure through structured rotations across different parts of the company’s operations and business, which may include six months in Upstream Operations for technical experience and six months in Commercial for business and value chain exposure. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career candidate who is curious, adaptable, and keen to develop a well-rounded foundation in a complex operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and tracking of the Annual Assurance Plan
• Monitor performance against key risks, controls, and assurance metrics
• Coordinate logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions for assurance activities
• Assist with workshops, reviews, and engagement sessions with asset and functional teams
• Conduct data analysis and reporting to support risk insights and decision-making
• Contribute to thematic reviews, improvement initiatives, and learning activities within the Risk & Assurance discipline
• Build understanding of the company’s operational, technical, and commercial activities through structured rotation experiences
• Work with teams across the business to develop a broad perspective on how risks are managed in practice
• Develop reporting tools, presentations, and materials to support business and assurance discussions
• Maintain alignment with the company’s Objectives-Risks-Controls-Assurance framework while developing professional capability
Skills & Experiences
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline
• Entry-level role suitable for recent graduates or candidates with maximum 2-3 years working experience[MB1.1]
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn across technical, operational, and commercial areas
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities
• Interest in risk management, assurance, business performance, and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with data analysis and digital tools such as Excel or reporting platforms is an advantage
