1) Receivables - Monitor and manage accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collections. Follow up on outstanding debts and maintain accurate aging schedules in accordance with credit policies and closely monitoring the payment receivables to prevent or minimize bad debts and to improve the management of cash by the company officials.
2) Payroll - Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring the correct computation of gross pay, statutory deductions, and contributions. Submits statutory returns (NIS, PAYE, Health Surcharge) on time and post all related payroll journal entries to the General Ledger and prepare when appropriate staff and distribute staff TD4 slips.
3) Corporation Taxation -To prepare and provide source documents to incumbent to calculate and pay all forms of corporation tax (Green Fund, Business Levy, VAT and Corporation Tax).
4) Journal Entries - Prepare, review, and post assigned journal entries to the General Ledger accurately and within reporting timelines, ensuring proper categorization of expenses with support documentation for audit file readiness.
5) Bank Reconciliation - Perform weekly and month-end bank reconciliations for all company accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate cash balances.
6) Management Accounts - Compile and prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and variance reports. Ensure all key financial schedules are reconciled.
7) General Ledger Maintenance - Maintain and reconcile key General Ledger to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
8) Financial Operations and Compliance - Maintain professional and responsive communication with internal departments, vendors, clients, and external stakeholders to support financial operations and compliance.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications (optional but preferred), e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
Experience:
• 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with strong exposure to:
o Accounts receivable and payables management
o Payroll processing and statutory compliance
o General Ledger and journal entry posting
o Bank reconciliations and financial reporting
o Corporation taxation and compliance
