POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the leadership of the Distribution Team in the execution of the day-to-day operations, in high-volume delivery and shipment (inbound / outbound), of finished goods at the Company’s

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

RESPONSIBILITES

1. Supervise the Dispatchers, Material Handlers, General Helper/Loaders and Heavy ‘T’ Drivers inthe daily operations and assignment of duties; support their training and development and performance management, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

2. Support employee involvement and assume leadership role in developing a positive work environment.

3. Facilitate and oversee inventory management training for Warehouse team members.

4. Ensure Warehouse operational standards are maintained, report on improvement plans as required to meet company goals.

5. Schedule finished goods inventory movement to and from the Warehouse, coordinating transfers with requisite Departments.

6. Manage the lift truck equipment and work with the Reliability & Projects (Maintenance) Department for timely resolution of any operational issues.

7. Ensure timely and accurate transactions within the Inventory Management System (BPCS).

8. Maintain Warehouse storage area by organizing floor space while adhering to storage design principles, and recommend improvements where required.

9. Provide support for Mill operations, transportation services, customer service specialists, and Sales & Marketing Team in the timely delivery of product.

10. Assist in the preparation of the Warehouse budget.

11. Audit invoices from Warehouse service providers.

12. Oversee finished goods inventory levels and cycle counts and reconcile variances.

13. Exhibit the highest standard of professionalism and ensure compliance with all applicable procedures and protocols of the organization.

14. Adhere to, actively promote among Operations employees and visitors to the Warehouse, and ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policies.

15. Report and update management on any unsafe conditions, accidents or near misses; operate in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

16. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).

17. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

 A minimum of five (5) O’Level / CSEC passes including Mathematics and English

Tertiary Level Diploma / Certificate in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Warehousing or any other related discipline from a recognized institution

A valid Forklift Operator’s License will be an asset

 

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Inventory Management, Warehousing, Distributionor other similar function with at least two (2) in a Supervisory role.

Experience with an Inventory Management software.

Experience with a Business Planning & Control System (BPCS).

Experience utilizing WMS and RF technology.
