Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with upper-level IT staff to develop and implement overall IT strategies for the organization’s business.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies which can improve IT department performance and Sales performance to increase company profits.
- Manage IT personnel and set departmental goals.
- Create and implement IT policies, protocols and standards.
- Work with upper management and senior IT staff to develop the company’s IT budget.
- Ensure IT department strategies and processes provide appropriate support to achieve company and customer goals.
- Oversee contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors and service providers.
- BSc in Information Technology or MBA is desirable.
- At least (5) years’ experience working in a similar senior position.
- Project Management Certification and/or experience will be an asset.
- Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations.
- A clear understanding of data management and administration.
- Sound IT training, knowledge and technical skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in planning and goal setting.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Must be highly detail oriented with strong leadership skills.
