JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Premium Application Unit is accountable for receiving and applying Group Health & Life Premiums to assist the company in managing its receivables and strengthening its balance sheet position. He/ She is required to complete reconciliations of receivable accounts as it relates to the resolution of queries and the performance of regular operational and administrative duties including the servicing of Group Insurance Sales clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and apply all outstanding Group Premiums at a Divisional level from Agents, Brokers and Direct accounts.
- Conduct monthly assessments on Group accounts in arrears and manage notice of pending claims and termination of plan.
- Update the Premium Collection Report.
- Generate Premium Collection Reports for use by Management.
- Perform administrative duties to support Group Insurance Sales receivables.
- To perform any other job related duties as assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 CXC/ CSEC passes including Mathematics and English Language.
- 2 A’ Level/ CAPE passes.
- LOMA 280, 290 and all related parts.
- 2 years’ experience in a Life insurance environment or a similar role with at least 1 year in an Accounting environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- The Premium Application Assistant must be able to work with minimum supervision. He/ She must be very dedicated, trustworthy and must display strong work ethics. The incumbent must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
