Job Summary:
Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with the hotel’s standards and recipes. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
  • Support other kitchen team members during peak service hours.
  • Follow instructions from the Executive and Sous chefs and contribute to maintaining a positive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Experience:

  • Formal culinary training or certification would be an asset.

Previous experience in a hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
