REPORTS TO: Human Resource Manager/ Human Resource Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:
To contribute to the maintenance of the building by ensuring that the environment is clean at all times and conducive to work.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily routine – During the Morning
- Cleans and Mops Staircase and corridors
- Cleans the elevator
- Sweeps the front steps and parking lot
- Sweeps the basement car park
- Washes cars as per agreed schedule
During the day
- Rotates with the car park attendant at lunch/other break
- Changes any light fixtures as required
- Assists with the setting up and tidying of meeting areas
- Assists with the cleaning/mopping of kitchen areas
- Mops/Freshens up the ladies/gents restrooms
- Vacuums the Cashiers/HR offices (normally off limits to Spotless)
- Deals with any emergencies such as spills, breakage of items etc.
- Monitors surroundings on an on-going basis.
Periodic maintenance/assignment
- Power washes the front steps, driveway/ surrounding areas/basement – monthly.
- Cleans the glass windows/doors (where possible).
- Escorts Rentokil during their monthly spraying of building
- Shreds waste paper material, empties shredding machine and removes old newspapers from Executive Offices as required
- Performs duties of Security Officer on Tuesdays and Thursdays or in the absence of the incumbent.
- Provides assistance to Facilities Supervisor as and when required.
- Any maintenance or other related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 3 GCE/CXC passes (English & Mathematics) and a Technical certificate
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar capacity
