Caribbean Business Advisor, representing a leading international business brokerage in the region, seeks to hire qualified individuals to support the sale of Trinidad and Tobago businesses, both private entities and corporate subsidiaries, including SMEs in service, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism sectors amongst others. The business, run by experienced Mergers & Acquisition veterans with over thirty (30) years of experience will leverage a structured proven process perfected by the franchise owner drawing on sector specific deal expertise as required to facilitate the speed of execution and value maximization for business owners.

Position Summary: The Business Advisor will act as an agent of the company and play a vital role in onboarding businesses for sale, generating and following up on leads based on marketing campaigns, connecting to the local communities and business organizations to generate leads and build the deal pipeline. He/she will undertake the effective rollout of standardized sales process with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and onboard businesses for sale.
  • Leverage existing networks while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Develop and maintain active ties to local community organizations to facilitate deal flow.
  • Liaise with business owners in collecting and organizing materials necessary for preparing businesses for the sale process.
  • Interface and qualify potential buyers.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities for lead generation.
  • Innovative and resilient in one’s approach.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 3 years’ experience as a business owner, mortgage broker, real estate agent,insurance representative, pharmaceutical representative, luxury car salesperson, or other consultative sales.
  2. Certified in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Management.
  3. Proficient in MS Office; ability to prepare presentations and complete proposals.
  4. Proficient in basic finance.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Self-motivated and results oriented.
  8. Has a well-maintained vehicle.
